Luckily for us, Calgary is home to some incredible local art galleries that happen to be just minutes away from us here on the Beltline. Check out our list down below of a few local art galleries that we highly recommend taking a visit to here in Calgary this fall.

1. ESKER FOUNDATION

Esker Foundation is a contemporary art gallery located here in Calgary that connects the public to contemporary art through relevant, accessible, and educational exhibitions, programs, and publications. Esker Foundation reflects on current developments in local, regional, and international culture; creates opportunities for public dialogue; and supports the production of groundbreaking new work, ideas, and research. Founded in 2012 by Jim and Susan Hill, Esker Foundation is a new model for institutional relevance, curatorial focus, and audience engagement.

2. THE NEW GALLERY

The New Gallery – also known as TNG – is an artist-run centre located here in Calgary. This charitable centre for contemporary art was established in 1975 and continues to provide opportunities and venues for artists that foster social and political art practices, while engaging and educating audiences through artist-run culture and contemporary art.

3. CONTEMPORARY CALGARY
